What if you found an anonymous diary in an old greenhouse?

That is exactly what happened to a young gardener named Klára in the summer of 1914, just a few days after the assassination in Sarajevo, when the park at Konopiště suddenly fell silent. Inside the diary, she discovered messages, drawings and torn fragments, each leading to a different place within the park. And so begins The Lost Diary, a fun and educational outdoor adventure for both children and adults.

As Klára’s helpers, you will explore the castle park and uncover the secrets hidden in its many corners. You will visit the deer in the game reserve, the old gate, Neptune’s Fountain and the Rose Garden. Each stop contains a fragment of the diary and a unique challenge involving counting, solving puzzles, observing details and connecting clues. The adventure is non-linear, so you can complete the locations in any order.

The game is not only entertaining, but also an educational journey through time. You will discover why bears were kept at Konopiště, who planted two hundred varieties of roses and what the final summer of Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este was like

Availability

The adventure is available at any time and can be completed at your own pace. The castle park is open to the public throughout the year, and all locations are situated along freely accessible paths.

*One puzzle is located within the Rose Garden grounds, but it can also be solved outside the garden’s opening hours. The opening hours of the gardens and castle are therefore provided for information only.
