What if, during a walk through the grounds of Veltrusy Chateau, you were approached by a ghost who could not remember who he was? And what if he offered to guide you through places he knows intimately? This is how the adventure Expedition: The Ghost of Veltrusy: The Lost Name begins – a fun and educational outdoor game for children and adults alike.
Accompanied by a friendly ghost, you will explore the chateau grounds and uncover the secrets of its pavilions, statues and bridges. Each stop reveals another part of the story and presents you with a unique challenge, including counting, solving codes and puzzles, observing details and discovering hidden connections. You will encounter figures from Czech history, learn about Baroque art and the ancient world, and explore the links between science, architecture and nature.
The game is more than just entertainment – it is also an educational journey through time. Each location brings new discoveries, and every mystery you solve takes the ghost one step closer to uncovering his forgotten identity. You will discover what connected General Laudon with Veltrusy, why there is a sphinx in the park, and how the world’s first industrial exhibition came to be held here.

Starting point: The main entrance to the chateau park or the entrance from the car park near the Obora campsite

The expedition is subject to the opening hours of Veltrusy Chateau and its park.
